Our Beliefs

We believe in the one living and true God of the Bible. He is Father, Son and Holy Spirit - Three in One. He is infinite in power and perfection, but also personal and loving towards us.

We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God and without error as God's way of making Himself known to persons.

We believe persons are sinful, but God is full of grace, meaning we can know Him through faith in Jesus Christ who died for the forgiveness of sins and arose again to be our Lord.

We believe Jesus came for us to have life to the full and forever.

We believe Jesus founded the church to carry out His work and be the instrument of His love. The church is made up of people who place their faith in Christ and have been baptized into the church family through immersion.

We believe in the priesthood of every believer to stand before God in personal relationship with Him.

Our values

Celebration Baptist Church has 5 Core Values:

Transformation - Awaking people by boldly sharing God's love

"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witness in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth" (Acts 1:8 NIV)

Character - Becoming the people God designed. Living by faith produces the mind of Christ.

"Until we all reach unity in faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ" (Ephesians 4:13 NIV)

Interdependence - Strengthening one another through Gods empowerment. Structure must always submit to Spirit

"I am the vine, you are the branches . If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing" (John 15:5 NIV)

Community - Uniting for life's journey in Christ's love. Love is the context for all mission.

"My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in you so that the world may believe that you have sent me" (John 17:20-21 NIV)

Surrender - Living passionately in the presence of the real God. Lives of worship draw people to Christ

"Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God-this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - his good, pleasing and perfect will. (Roman 12:1-2 NIV)
